3. Booking and Payment

  • Booking: To book a move with Sanford Movers, you must provide accurate details about the size of the move, the type of items being moved, and any other relevant information. A booking is only confirmed once you receive a confirmation from Sanford Movers.
  • Payment: All payments for moving and storage services are due prior to or at the time of service unless otherwise agreed upon. We accept payment via credit card, debit card, or other methods outlined during the booking process. In the event of any additional charges (e.g., for additional services or time), you will be notified before the charges are applied.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations: You may cancel or reschedule your move at least 24 hours before the scheduled service without penalty. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled move may incur a cancellation fee.
  • Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule your move, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your new requested date, subject to availability.

5. Client Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all items to be moved are properly packed and ready for transport.
  • Informing us of any items that require special handling, including fragile, valuable, or oversized items.
  • Ensuring that the location for loading and unloading is accessible and safe for our movers.
  • Arranging for parking permits or other necessary arrangements for our vehicles if required.
  • Providing a clear and accurate description of all items being moved, including the inventory list.

6. Our Responsibilities

Sanford Movers is responsible for:

  • Handling your belongings with care during packing, transport, and unloading.
  • Providing professional and reliable moving and storage services as agreed upon.
  • Ensuring that our staff are trained, experienced, and qualified to handle your move.

7. Liability and Insurance

  • Damage: While Sanford Movers will take every precaution to prevent damage to your belongings, we are not responsible for any damage caused by improperly packed items, pre-existing damage, or items not disclosed during the booking process.
  • Insurance: We provide basic liability coverage for goods in transit. However, this may not cover the full value of your items. If you would like additional protection, you can opt for supplementary insurance at an additional cost.
  • Storage: For items in storage, we take precautions to secure and protect your belongings. Sanford Movers is not liable for damage or loss of items unless caused by our negligence or failure to fulfill our obligations.

8. Prohibited Items

Certain items cannot be moved due to safety or legal restrictions. These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Hazardous materials (e.g., chemicals, flammable items, explosives)
  • Perishable food
  • Illegal items
  • Animals or pets (unless special arrangements are made)
  • Plants (subject to state or local regulations) You must inform us in advance of any prohibited items, and we will not be responsible for moving items that violate these guidelines.

9. Force Majeure

Sanford Movers is not liable for any delays or failures in performance due to causes beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, inclement weather, or other unforeseen circumstances.

10. Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. All personal information provided during the booking process or while using our Services is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which can be reviewed on our website. By using our Services, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sanford Movers, its officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, losses, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising from your use of our Services or your breach of these Terms and Conditions.
